Originally from Scotland, Kirsty trained at ALRA in London, gaining a BA (Hons) in Acting in 2010. Roles at college included: the title role in Titus Andronicus; Penny in The House of Bernarda Alba; Baloo in The Jungle Book; Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest; Christine in Miss Julie; and Christine in Mourning Becomes Electra. She also took part in the Elizabethan Body workshop with the RSC.
Kirsty was awarded the Alec Guiness Memorial Award in 2010 and was also asked to represent her college in the Carleton Hobbs competition.
