Ann began her career at Glasgow’s Citizens’ Theatre in 1962. She has toured the length and breadth of Scotland and her long acting career includes several seasons and many productions in most of Scotland’s theatres and many venues in England. Ann was in the original cast of the Edinburgh Traverse’s production of Perfect Days which also toured Scotland before transferring to first Hampstead and then the Vaudeville Theatre in London’s West End. Other transfers include A Solemn Mass For a Full Moon in Summer – Traverse and Barbican.

Also popular in comedy, in the past she toured with Jimmy Logan in Scotland and with Sid James in England, Australia and New Zealand. Other appearances abroad include The Tron’s production of The Guid Sisters (Montreal and Toronto, Canada) and the Traverse’s The Hardman (Germany). She is also an experienced audio artiste recording drama’s, serials, series, short stories and poetry for the BBC.
