Peter was born in Newcastle and grew up in Bolton. He studied at Nottingham University and trained at Central School of Speech and Drama. He has worked as an actor, director and facilitator in a variety of UK and international contexts.
As an actor Peter has made work with Complicite, Theatre Babel and Paines Plough. He has also worked at the National Theatre, the Royal Exchange, Bolton Octagon, West Yorkshire Playhouse and the Tron Theatre. With Babel he toured to India, Cyprus and Taiwan and with Complicite to Germany. Recently Peter toured Scotland with Catherine Wheels Theatre Company’s The Ballad of Pondlife McGurk. He is also an Associate Artist at the National Youth Theatre and a regular visiting director at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
